WalletPassBuilder vs Pass2U
Pass2U is a pass service with pay-as-you-go credits, its own Pass2U Wallet app and a Checkout app for redeeming passes. WalletPassBuilder is a flat-price, no-code builder for Apple Wallet and Google Wallet where updating a pass is always free. Here is how they compare.
When to choose WalletPassBuilder
- Your passes change after people save them - stamps, points, balances, event details - and you don’t want to pay per update.
- You want loyalty connected to Square, passes from Google Sheets or WordPress, or AI assistants that create passes for you.
- You want one plan with every feature rather than credits per pass, per update and per email.
- You’re an enterprise or agency running passes across many stores, brands or clients - each in its own workspace, with its data in the US or the EU.

What it costs
Pass2U is very cheap for passes that never change: 3 credits each, and 8,000 credits cost $50.
Loyalty cards change on every visit. A punch card costs 10 credits to issue and 3 credits per update, unless you add Monthly Premium for that design: $39 a month covers unlimited updates for up to 2,000 active passes. For 1,000 punch cards that’s $39 a month plus 10,000 credits to issue them, which the plan’s 600 bonus credits a month partly cover - close to WalletPassBuilder’s $49 a month.
On WalletPassBuilder, every update and notification is free, and one plan covers every pass design.
Pass2U’s prices are as published on its website in November 2026; check its current plans before you decide.
