Scan and record visits

Staff record a visit or purchase by scanning the customer's pass.

The scanner

In the builder, open Settings → Scanner for a link and QR code that open the scanner on a phone (it lives at walletpassbuilder.com/scan). Staff sign in, point the camera at the QR code on the customer's pass - or choose Enter code manually and type the pass ID - and check the customer's progress.

Visits: tap Record visit.

Spend: enter the amount and tap Record purchase.

A "Reward earned" message appears when the customer reaches the goal. Tap Scan next to continue.

Who can use it

Anyone on your team, including the Scanner only role made for counter staff, who see nothing else in the dashboard. Invite them from the Team page.

Try it in the builder

Once a loyalty pass is published, the Scanner tab beside the pass preview is a live scanner. It records against real passes, so test with your own pass.

The kiosk

The kiosk (walletpassbuilder.com/kiosk) is a self-serve check-in screen for a tablet at your counter, signed in with a team account. On a visits pass, customers scan their own pass or enter their phone number and tap Check in to record a visit. New customers can join on the spot. Spend passes can't be recorded at the kiosk - it asks the customer to see a staff member - because staff enter the real amount in the scanner.
