Make a poster pass

Last updated: October 28, 2026

A poster pass fills the whole card with your artwork in Apple Wallet, with your logo at the top and the title, details and scan code over it. It suits event tickets, memberships and anything with strong artwork.

Which phones show the poster

iPhone on iOS 27 or later: the poster.

iPhone on iOS 26 or older: the classic ticket, with a band of your artwork (or your Apple hero image) as its banner.

Google Wallet: your Google hero image as the banner, or your artwork if you haven't set one.

Every pass carries both designs, so each phone picks the one it supports. You don't have to do anything.

Make a poster pass

Click Create pass and choose the Poster template under Event Ticket.

Open Poster and upload your Poster artwork. A portrait image, 1074 x 1344 px, is ideal.

Optionally upload a Poster logo: a wordmark for the top left, up to 378 x 90 px. Without one, the pass uses your Rectangle Logo, then your Logo.

Fill in Front of the pass as usual, then click Create pass.

What goes where on the poster

Top left: the poster logo. When the poster has a wordmark, the logo text is left out, since the wordmark already shows your name.

Top right: the top-right field from Advanced settings, for example a date.

Bottom: the card title in bold, then the left, middle and right fields, with the scan code above them.

Bottom line: the header text.

Tips for the artwork

Keep the bottom half simple and fairly dark. The title, fields and scan code sit over it in white.

Leave space at the top left for the logo and at the top right for the top-right field.

The artwork is cropped to Apple's poster shape (4:5), so keep anything important away from the edges.
