Apple Wallet and Google Wallet passes for Event Tickets

Give every ticket and RSVP from Event Tickets, by The Events Calendar, its own wallet pass. It carries the security code as a QR code, and check-ins and refunds show on the attendee's phone.

New accounts get free pass credits to start. Tested with Event Tickets 5.30 and The Events Calendar 6.18 (free) in October 2026.

On the pass

Every Event Tickets attendee's details, on their phone

On an event from The Events Calendar, a new pass shows the date, time and venue. Tickets on an ordinary page have no date, so the front shows the ticket, status and order instead.

Check an attendee in and the pass shows Checked in. Undo the check-in and it goes back.

Refunded

The status on the pass changes to Refunded or Cancelled, following the order.

Event changed

Wallet passes for events

The Events Calendar sites

Passes pick up the event's date, time and venue from The Events Calendar.

Tickets on any page

Sell from an ordinary page without an events calendar, and the pass shows the ticket instead.

Staffed entrances

Check-ins show on the pass, so a guest can see theirs has been used.

Event Tickets questions

Do my customers need to install an app?
No. The pass opens in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, which they already have on their phone. On a computer, the button opens a page with a QR code to scan with their phone.
Do I need The Events Calendar?
No. Event Tickets works on any page. With The Events Calendar, passes also show the event's date, time and venue.
Does it work with RSVPs and paid tickets?
It works with RSVPs and with Tickets Commerce. We tested a free Tickets Commerce order and a logged-out RSVP. Paid payment gateways were not part of our test.
Does every ticket in an order get a pass?
Yes. Each attendee gets their own pass with their own security code, so tickets bought together can be shared and scanned separately.
What does it cost?
The plugin is free. It uses pass credits from your WalletPassBuilder account: 1 per pass created or saved to a wallet, whichever total is higher. Updating passes doesn't use credits, and new accounts get free pass credits to start.
Is my attendee's contact information on the pass?
No. Email addresses are never sent to WalletPassBuilder, because anyone who sees the phone can see a wallet pass.
What if a ticket doesn't get a pass?
Check that Event Tickets is turned on under the plugin's Integrations tab, then look in Activity. A failed entry says why, and Retry sends it again. The plugin also checks every 15 minutes for anything that failed.
