Apple Wallet and Google Wallet passes for Bookly
Give every Bookly booking its own wallet pass. Customers save it from the last step of the booking form, and it updates on their phone when the appointment changes.
New accounts get free pass credits to start. Tested with Bookly Lite 28.7 in October 2026.

Add to Wallet
Where customers save their Bookly pass
Once the integration is on, the official Add to Apple Wallet and Add to Google Wallet buttons appear on Bookly's last step, and you can add them to its emails.

The form's Done step
Under the thank-you message on the last step of the Bookly form.
Bookly's emails
Add a tag to a template in Bookly under Email Notifications. Bookly's mail gateway has to be set to WordPress, not SMTP.

On the pass
Every Bookly appointment's details, on the customer's phone
A new pass shows the customer's name, the service, the date, time and location, and the booking number as a QR code. You can move any of these around or add others in the editor.

When a Bookly appointment changes, so does the pass
Booked
Each customer gets their own pass, so in a group appointment everyone has their own.
Rescheduled
Move the appointment in Bookly's calendar or list and the saved pass updates. Bookly's own cancel and approve email links count too.
Cancelled or rejected
The status on the pass changes to Cancelled or Rejected.
Checked regularly
Bookly doesn't tell other plugins when a booking changes, so ours looks for changes after each Bookly action and again every 15 minutes.
Compared
Bookly wallet pass or calendar invite?
Plenty of customers save an appointment to their calendar. A wallet pass does a different job, and they can use both.
| Calendar invite | Wallet pass | |
|---|---|---|
| Updates when the appointment changes | No, a saved event stays as it was | Yes, on the customer's phone |
| Booking number ready to scan | No | Yes, as a QR code |
| Shows in the customer's schedule | Yes | No |
| Lock-screen reminder | Yes, from their calendar app | Optional, at the start time |
| Reminder near your location | No | Optional |
Who it's for
Who Bookly wallet passes are for
Spas and massage
Put the treatment, therapist and time on the pass, so clients see the new time if a booking moves.
Wallet passes for salonsGroup sessions
Everyone in a group appointment gets their own pass, with the same session on it.
Repair and service shops
Show the drop-off time and location, and put the booking number on a code your staff can scan.
Lessons and tutoring
Students keep the lesson, teacher and time in their wallet, and the pass changes if a lesson moves.
Bookly questions
- Do my customers need to install an app?
- No. The pass opens in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, which they already have on their phone. On a computer, the button opens a page with a QR code to scan with their phone.
- Does it work with Bookly Lite and Pro?
- It's built for both. We tested Bookly Lite from WordPress.org, from booking through to the Add to Wallet buttons on the last step.
- Why don't the buttons show in my Bookly emails?
- The tag only works in emails sent through WordPress. If Bookly sends through its own SMTP settings, the email bypasses WordPress, so set its mail gateway to WordPress.
- Why does the email tag include {booking_number}?
- Bookly drops codes it doesn't recognise, so the tag carries its own {booking_number} code to tell the plugin which booking the email is about. Copy it as it is.
- What does it cost?
- The plugin is free. It uses pass credits from your WalletPassBuilder account: 1 per pass created or saved to a wallet, whichever total is higher. Updating passes doesn't use credits, and new accounts get free pass credits to start.
- Is my customer's contact information on the pass?
- No. Customer email addresses and phone numbers are never sent to WalletPassBuilder, because anyone who sees the phone can see a wallet pass.
- What if a booking doesn't get a pass?
- Check that Bookly is turned on under the plugin's Integrations tab, then look in Activity. A failed entry says why, and Retry sends it again. The plugin also checks every 15 minutes for anything that failed.
