PDF to wallet pass
Drop in a PDF ticket, coupon, gift card or membership card and get a wallet pass for Apple Wallet and Google Wallet in seconds, with the same title, date, details and code to scan. It's read in your browser, so the file is never uploaded.
How it works
- Drop in your PDF, or click to choose one. Only the page you’re looking at is used.
- We read its text, find the title, date and details like seat, gate or code, and copy its QR code or barcode.
- Preview the pass for Apple Wallet and Google Wallet, then open it in the builder to change anything.
- Create it and share one link or QR code. It adds the pass to Apple Wallet on iPhone and Google Wallet on Android.
Why a wallet pass instead of a PDF
A PDF gets lost in email and downloads. A wallet pass sits in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, opens from the lock screen when it’s needed, and can be updated after it’s saved: change a time, a gate or an offer and every saved copy changes too. You can also send a lock-screen message to everyone who has it.
To make a pass for every attendee or customer at once, see our guide to digital event tickets.
Frequently asked questions
Can I add a PDF to Apple Wallet?+
Not directly: Apple Wallet only takes wallet passes (.pkpass files), not PDFs. This tool reads your PDF and makes a wallet pass from it, with the same title, date, details and code to scan, which then adds to Apple Wallet and Google Wallet.
Is my PDF uploaded?+
No. The PDF is read in your browser. Nothing in it is sent to our servers unless you open the pass in the builder and create it.
Will the pass scan the same as my PDF?+
When your PDF has a QR code or a barcode, the pass uses the same value, so it scans the same way at the door or till. If there's no code, the pass gets its own QR code.
What kinds of PDF work best?+
Tickets, coupons, vouchers, gift cards and membership cards made by a computer, where you can select the text. A scanned PDF is just a picture, so you'll type the details in the builder instead.
My PDF has several tickets. Which one is used?+
The first page, to start with. If the PDF has more pages, use Next to make the pass from another page.
Is it free?+
Yes. Making and previewing the pass is free, with no account. Create a free account when you're ready to share it.
